Allan Hunter on Anarchy

Date:
Monday, April 16, 2018 - 7:30pm to 9:00pm
  • Long Island Action

What is anarchy? Is it a state of disorder due to absence or nonrecognition of authority? Is it the absence of government and absolute freedom of the individual, regarded as a political ideal? Come and find out in this introduction to anarchy by theorist Allan Hunter.

Green Party member Allan Hunter has a B.A. in Women's Studies from SUNY at Old Westbury and an M.A. in Sociology from SUNY at Stony Brook. Allan went on to pursue a Ph.D. in SUNY at Stony Brook, which he completed all-but-dissertation. He is a theorist, lecturer and author, a participant in the psychiatric inmates' liberation movement, and a self-described conceptually problematic participant in the movement against patriarchy.

This event is free and open to the public.
