This training aims to inspire health care professionals to advocate for and empower underserved communities. Participants will be asked to explore their own cultural values, beliefs and identities while discussing the importance of a culturally competent practice. This training will explore programs and policies that have positive effects on the communities in need as well as explore continued areas of struggle experience by people of color and people living below the poverty line.
