Make Long Island A Litter Bit Better

Date:
Saturday, April 22, 2017 - 10:00am to 12:00pm
Long Island Action

The first of hopefully a series of litter pick-up events intended for you to help make our island a little nicer. The first event will be in Patchogue, and we'll switch it up to different towns each time if there's enough interest to keep it going.

We'll be meeting in front of the Congregational Church of Patchogue on Main St at 10am, then head around town for an hour or so, picking up litter along the way. Then we'll grab some ice cream, or beer if it ends up being that kind of crowd ;)

Many hands make light work, so please feel free to invite whomever you'd like, all ages are welcome, and share this event. Everyone should bring 5-6 grocery bag-sized bags to fill and either some durable gloves or a pick-up tool like this one: (http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/productImages/1000/a7/a7204e04-60cb-478...). Sunblock is probably a good idea too. There are municipal trash cans/dumpsters all around Main St, so we can drop off full bags as we use them.

Hope to see you there!
