With less than two weeks remaining until Election Day, Joe Dujmic's campaign for State Assembly announced they have receieved a key endorsement from the Suffolk County Deputy Sheriff's Police Benevolent Association.
The Suffolk County Deputy Sheriffs are sworn police officers under the New York State Criminal Procedure Law. They attend the Suffolk County Police Academy along with Suffolk County police recruits and receive the same New York State Police Training Council Police Officer Certification (MPTC). Suffolk County Deputy Sheriffs perform a vast array of responsibilities including: civil enforcement; domestic violence; warrant squad; marine and aviation bureaus; and highway enforcement. Members also participate in numerous multi-agency police and federal task forces, and gang prevention programs.
Responding to the endorsement, Mr. Dujmic stated: "I am honored to receive the endorsement of such an amazing group of men and women who serve as one of the major law enforcement agencies that keep residents of Suffolk County, along with the hundreds of thousands of visitors who travel our roadways each year, safe on a daily basis."
