Edwards Wins Democratic Primary In Huntington Town Supervisor Race
Huntington Councilwoman Tracey Edwards has emerged as the victor in the Democratic primary election to determine the party’s candidate for Huntington town supervisor.
Edwards received 3,482 votes (67 percent) to defeat Darryl St. George, who received 1,664 votes (32 percent), according to the Suffolk County Board of Elections. There were also 23 votes cast for write-in candidates.
Edwards will now face Republican and current state Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R-Huntington Station) and Michael Raspantini, who is running under his “Stop the Corruption in Huntington” party, in the November general election.
